Tentative d’émigration clandestine à Annaba : 27 harraga interceptés hier
Quelques jours seulement après le discours du président de la République sur l’échec de la politique nationale en direction de la jeunesse, au cours duquel il a stigmatisé les jeunes harraga, les mettant sur un pied d’égalité avec les kamikazes, les candidats à l’émigration clandestine continuent à défier la mer pour rejoindre l’Europe.
Ils sont 27 à avoir échoué dans leur tentative de quitter le pays. Ils ont été interceptés hier à Annaba et El Kala par les gardes-côtes algériens. Ainsi, dans la matinée d’hier, les éléments des gardes-côtes des eaux territoriales de Annaba ont intercepté une embarcation à bord de laquelle ont pris place 15 jeunes harraga. Ils sont venus d’Alger, d’Oran, de Guelma et de Annaba pour tenter de rejoindre les côtes italiennes, notamment l’île de Sardaigne. Agissant sur informations, une unité de la garde maritime est intervenue à 20 miles au nord-est de Ras El Hamra et a réussi à mettre fin à leur « rêve ». Agés entre 17 et 37 ans, ces jeunes ont embarqué la veille à partir de la plage de Seybouse.
Il y avait parmi eux plusieurs universitaires et étudiants, qui, sans espoir de bâtir leur avenir en Algérie, ont tenté le risque mortel de l’aventure. Après une visite médicale, ils ont passé la nuit dans les locaux des gardes maritimes pour être présentés, aujourd’hui, devant le procureur près le tribunal de Annaba. Il faut dire que cette dernière est devenue une plaque tournante en matière de harga, où un véritable réseau s’est installé et dont les ramifications s’étalent aux quatre coins du pays. Rappelons que cette interception intervient après plusieurs semaines d’accalmie durant lesquelles les gardes-côtes de Annaba n’en ont enregistré aucune. « C’est suite à un draconien dispositif de sécurité que les tentatives d’émigration clandestine ont connu une baisse sensible », dira M. Cheriak, officier supérieur de la marine de Annaba.
Par ailleurs, douze personnes âgées entre 25 et 42 ans ont été interceptées par les gardes-côtes d’El Kala vendredi à 3h à cap Rosa, 25 km à l’ouest d’El Kala. Les harraga étaient à bord d’une embarcation à fond plat d’à peine 4 m propulsée par un moteur hors-bord. Ils avaient quitté Chapuis (la plage de Rizi Amor d’Annaba) quelques heures auparavant avec des candidats à l’émigration venant de l’Est mais aussi de la région d’Alger. Les harraga ont été repérés par les gardes-côtes qui leur ont donné la chasse en les rabattant vers le rivage.
