Hassan Hattab s’est rendu aux autorités algériennes
Le fondateur du Groupe salafiste pour la prédication et le combat (GSPC), Hassan Hattab, s’est rendu aux autorités algériennes fin septembre, a annoncé hier soir à Paris le ministre d’État, ministre de l’Intérieur Yazid Zerhouni.
Interrogé lors d’une conférence de presse tenue à l’issue de ses entretiens avec son homologue française Michèle Alliot-Marie, Yazid Zerhouni a précisé que Hattab “s’est rendu” aux autorités le 22 septembre. “Nous le considérons comme un repenti”, a déclaré le ministre, avant d’ajouter : “Comme il est concerné par plusieurs dossiers judiciaires, il doit éclaircir sa situation.”
Aucune autre indication n’a été donnée sur les circonstances de sa reddition. Il faut savoir que l’information sur sa reddition a circulé à Alger vers la fin du mois de septembre. Des journaux avaient fait état de son arrestation, alors que d’autres de sa reddition. Les hypothèses les plus folles jusqu’à celle le donnant pour mort, abattu par les forces de sécurité, avaient fait le tour des rédactions.
Côté officiel, c’est le black-out total d’autant que le sort du fondateur du GSPC a été remis en selle après le limogeage de Abdelmalek Droukdel à la tête du GSPC qu’il a transformé en branche armée de l’organisation de Ben Laden aux pays du Maghreb. Par ailleurs, il faut savoir que les ministres de l’Intérieur français et algérien, Michèle Alliot-Marie et Yazid Zerhouni, ont évoqué hier le dossier du terrorisme et de coopération en matière de sécurité.
Les deux ministres ont partagé leurs “analyses respectives” sur le terrorisme et évoqué “différents domaines de coopération (…) contre tout ce qui peut être source d’insécurité”, a déclaré Mme Alliot-Marie au cours d’une conférence de presse commune avec M. Zerhouni à l’issue de leur rencontre. “Nos analyses étaient très proches de ce point de vue”, a déclaré pour sa part M. Zerhouni.
Mme Alliot-Marie a ajouté que “la France est solidaire et proche de l’Algérie frappée ces dernières semaines par trois attentats”. Deux Français et un Italien, employés de sociétés travaillant en Algérie, avait été blessés dans l’un de ces attentats commis le 21 septembre près de Lakhdaria, dans la wilaya de Bouira. Le parquet de Paris a ouvert une enquête sur cet attentat, a indiqué peu après une source judiciaire à Paris. Nous y reviendrons.
